"Use Your Illusion I & II" were released simultaneously. They marked the first time a major contemporary
rock artist had released two separate albums on the same day.
Many of the songs were written before the band recorded "Appetite For Destruction".
The band thought of calling the album GN'R Sucks or BUY Product.
